Attorney Leif Kleven founded his own practice in 2013 with a single commitment: to provide individualized, one-on-one representation to every client. Since then, he has represented injury victims across San Diego and throughout Southern California. The Law Office of Leif Kleven intentionally stays small — because small means every client works directly with Leif from the first call to the final resolution.

Leif is a passionate attorney and advocate. He began his career representing individuals charged with federal crimes in the Southern and Central Districts of California and in San Diego County Superior Court, gaining real courtroom experience that most civil attorneys never develop. Through well-researched criminal immigration appeals, he prevented imminent deportations and kept families together in the United States.

He later developed a deep interest in civil litigation, and his practice has grown to reflect that commitment. Today, Mr. Kleven's work is primarily personal injury — representing people hurt in car accidents, slip and falls, rideshare crashes, and other serious incidents. He has also successfully litigated complex matters including horse racing litigation, sexual abuse cases and wrongful death claims.

Leif is fluent in Spanish, having lived in Central America for two years. Based in Chula Vista and San Diego, he communicates directly with Spanish-speaking clients — no interpreter required, though the legal jargon occasionally tests everyone.
